All I Want for Christmas is........

My boyfriend asked what I wanted for Christmas and honestly I didn't know what I wanted, which is not usual for me. I started window shopping on my favorite sites and here are my top picks of what I want for Christmas.

If you need to get inspired or just want to be around beautiful things head to Anthropologie, that store always rocks my world! I found this blue top awhile ago and fell in love with it, for some reason ruffles get me every time. The Champagne top is absolutely gorgeous! I went shopping with some friends and I was supposed to be "WINDOW SHOPPING!" I hate window shopping its overrated. Anyways in a moment of weakness I tried it on and became obsessed with its beautiful details and soft silk material! It took all the strength in me to put that shirt back on its hanger!

Alright, I know I say I love everything but I really LOVE this bag by Tory Burch . I mean anything Tory means its amazing, her shoes, bags, clothes, oh and the clutches are so adorable!

I was visiting my friend in New York and was excited to get inspired by her creative mind and the city. Surprise, surprise, when Martha Stewart inspired me on my trip. Tiff was so excited about this book and I now am excited about this book. So many crafts and ideas its like creative overload she is truly amazing or at least her staff is. I found it on amazon for $20 cheaper than the book stores so check them out.

Another book on my wish list is Kelly Wearstler, power house interior designer! She truly is amazing and her ideas are always so fresh!!!!! This is her new book and I can't wait to browse through it. Check out her other books too.

Check out this beauty!!!!! This fine piece is from Room service and will hopefully be a gracing its presence in my house one day!

Another great piece from Room Service is this lamp! I am so drawn to gold all the time!

So Santa this is my list! We shall see if I get any of this!!! hehehehe

Tis The Season To Be Jolly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!! I love how people are excited, families come together, baking is on everyones mind, Christmas lights go up, people are decorating their homes and Christmas movies are always on. This weekend my roommates and I are determined to decorate our apartment for Christmas so I tried to get inspired and here are some of my favorite decorations!

If I had a banzai tree I would so do this!

Love this room, it was in Elle Decor for their Christmas issue! So cozy and it's screaming Christmas!

Have the jar, all I need is the ornaments! Small ornaments was just added to my shopping list.

If my roommates let me this would be my Christmas tree!!!!! I'm not afraid, this is so amazing!!!

I hope you enjoyed the things I have found! All I want to do is decorate now and listen to my Hanson Christmas cd!

Oh the Holidays!!!!!

I love the holidays! I mean come on Christmas parties, turkey, presents, lots of wine, sweets, and the whole family is together, how can you not love the holidays? But my favorite thing about the holidays and I can't believe I'm going to admit this but I love all the packaging! I'm all about the bows and matching paper! I seriously can't get enough of it. Here are some of Martha Stewarts, wrapping and tag ideas and they all are so cute!!!!!!!!

I give my friends bake goods for Christmas gifts so I died when I saw this with these cute little wrapped packages! Love, Love, Love!!! These are my inspirations this year for my boxes of cookies.

Homemade tags with embossing! Genius, don't spend tons of money on tags when its so easy to do it yourself.

OK this is absolutely amazing, it's bio-degradable stuffing! Go green and its so unique, love the peanuts!

Who said that yarn is just for knitting and old ladies, this is amazing!

Felt and fabric acorns, leaves, and any other shape to make spice to your gift!

Ok add a little glam in your life with sparkly letters! So darling!!!

This is my absolute favorite idea for wrapping. Use fabric as wrapping paper!!!! I always have scraps of fabric and this is a perfect way to use extra strips of fabric.

I hope you loved these ideas as much as I did. All I want to do now is go and wrap something! I think I might work on making some sparkling letters. Hopefully they will turn out alright!

Another trash digging day!

My friends like to say if anything bad, weird, random, or funny happens to anyone, it happens to ME! I confess that the most random things happen to me, like yesterday! I woke up ready to start my day but my eye was swollen shut because I had a chalazion in my eye. Yes, a chalazion is a real thing but does the average person get this, NO!!! Basically it is a backed up eye ducts and it makes you look like you have a caper stuck in your eye lid. Last time I got one the cooks at work threw capers at me and called me caper girl! Anywho I made an appointment to get this thing on its way!

Before I left for the doctors, I thought I would be a good roommate and take the trash out. I mean taking the trash out is a routine right, lift the bag up and throw it into the dumpster?Unless, your Rachel Nickens it's not that easy. The ties on the trash bag decided it would get caught on my ring and ripped it off my finger into the dumpster. Seriously!!! The ring my boyfriend got me for our first anniversary was in the dumpster! I ran to grab Mike my neighbor and friend who always seems to whiteness my Rachel moments, and have him help me to get into the dumpster. Oh my gosh, I do not know how the heck bums do it, I was trying not to puke! While I was sifting through trash Mike was standing by giving me moral support or just laughing at me. All in all it was pretty funny I found my ring! The best part was that I was sitting in the waiting room smelling like a dumpster and the doctor totally looked at me like someone needs to take a shower.

My oh my, at least it wasn't filled to the top!

Daniel Chesnut

OK, friends I know that all of us are at the age where everyone around us is getting married! Here is an awesome video guy that people need to know about and should hire for their weddings. This is one of the first videos that I wasn't falling asleep and was hoping to be over. I actually enjoyed it and liked the way he edited it and loved, loved, and once again loved the music! Check him out Daniel Chesnut and his Wedding Video Blog.

Jewlery and Bikinis!!!!!!!!

I grew up in Maui, Hawaii so naturally I love shells and grew up in bikinis! I found both my loves in the same place, Pashey Designs and Manini Gangini Bikini's have it all. Talia Gangini the designer of both these brands is only 16!!!!!!! How incredible is that? Talia has her own company and her jewelry was on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition! I personally have five pieces of her hand made jewelry and am officially obsessed!

Talia is staying with me this week so, I got a sneak peak at what she has in stock. I wish I could have it all!!!!! I love her stuff so much and I want everyone to own a piece of Pashey jewelry and MG Bikini . This week I'm throwing a jewelry bikini party! Can't wait, all the girls are coming over! So much fun is to be had!

Baby Shower

One of my favorite things in the whole world is throwing parties. More specifically themed party! Getting people together to catch up and have fun is always a blast. I have been itching to throw a girlie party and was thrilled that my older brother and his wife are expecting a little girl! Perfect timing, that’s all I have to say! My only struggle was that I was throwing a coed shower. Were my girlie ideas going to be too extreme? Will the guys being pulling their hair out when their wives and girlfriends drag them to the shower announced on this pink invitation? I decided "I don’t care!" and went for it! I mean, they are having a girl right? The theme for the shower was "Birds" and the color scheme: pink and olive green! So enjoy! I hope you get inspired for the next baby shower you throw!

I got my invitations from Sweet Pea Baby Designs, on Etsy. If you haven’t been to their website, you must! I love their stuff! Everything is designed beautifully and uniquely.

I work for a wedding planner so, naturally, I pay attention to detail. Working so many weddings, I have seen numerous types of center pieces, cute details, and creative ideas. I thought I would pour them all into one shower. I have never worked with flowers before, but I thought I would give it a try and I was pretty impressed, let me tell you! Actually, I lied. I was flying high, with the biggest grin saying, “Look what I can do!”

I thought these moss balls with little birds on them were so cute!

One of the packages we have with Exquisite is a candy station for party favors. Once again, I used my wedding skills and made a vintage candy station. Old suitcases, color schemed candy, old books, and moss mounds with little birds pulled it all together, along with some tasty candy!

All in all it was a great day! We played a "couples relay race" with babies. The game was entertaining and got even better when the dog decided to join in and steal the baby doll out of one couple's hands! There were cocktails, food, and good company. Everything was great! Nate, Karla, and my soon to be little niece, Makaya, I hoped you enjoyed it!
